It is quite unfortunate that the State Department and U. S. government as a whole have, in the past, allowed themselves to be manipulated to serve Scientology. From the years of Human Rights Reports criticizing Germany for daring to believe its citizenry should be informed about cultic frauds, to the State Department's ludicrous invitation extended to Sue Taylor to participate in a meeting between the State Department and the German Enquete Commission of the Bundestag (inviting a cult's private intelligence agency to a meeting between government representatives of allied nations!) to expressions of "concern" to Sweden over the availability of the NOTs, the American government has been duped for far too long about the nature of CoS.
Perhaps, now that CoS has taken it upon itself to usurp the mantle of spokesperson for U.S. democracy, the State Department will realize who and what it is they have allowed themselves to defend. Scientology's attempted trashing of American citizens, their business partners, and nations engaged with them in international finance and commerce, should not be defended or supported by the U. S. government or State Department.
CoS isn't a citizen of this country--it preys on citizens of this country. And Scientology diplomacy doesn't speak for me.

Hey, I've said it before and I'll say it again . . .
Our government has gone out of it's way to protect this "religion", but in no way has this government done ANYthing to protect it's citizens from this "religion's" abuse.
